How will money raised be used?
The money raised from our Caminata supports a growing list of needs for River Glen. This year, HABLA’s budget has already designated monies to keep music and art in our classrooms by paying the salary for Sr. Santos and Ms. Scharaga. HABLA funded our wonderful Día de los Muertos Sugar Skull activities. HABLA also funds keeping computers in our computer lab and yes, even books in our library! HABLA is funding after school clubs such as Chess and Brain Works. HABLA supports all the Go Green activities and is subsidizing Field trips and Study Trips for our children.
Are donations tax deductable?
You bet! HABLA’s tax id# is 77-03-76-475. Supporters should use their checks as a record of their contribution. If someone needs a more official receipt, print out this form and give it to them.
What’s the difference between a FLAT and PER LAP pledge?
A ‘FLAT PLEDGE’ is a set amount that should be collected immediately and turned in the day of the walk-a-thon. For example, your neighbor can pledge $20 no matter how many laps you walk.
A ‘PER LAP’ is an amount promised for each lap you walk. For example, Grandma can pledge 25¢ for every lap you walk. If you walk 80 laps, you would collect $20 after the event and turn it no later than May 2.
Supporters can give cash OR a check (payable to HABLA).
